Chebeague Island is a quaint island in Casco Bay, not too far from Portland, Maine. Growing up, we had family friends with a cottage on the island and we spent a few weeks exploring the island on our bicycles. I remember how stunningly beautiful the Chebeague Island Inn looked as we biked past it, and how it’s yellow paint popped against the deep blue of the late summer bay behind it.

My partner, Jack, and I spent a lovely birthday weekend at The Woodstock Inn in Vermont last year. The late fall drizzle added an extra layer of coziness and charm as we played chess in the library and billiards in the game room, sipped interesting cocktails at the bar, and perused the shelves at the local bookstore. Hoping to be back here in the spring or summer at some point, what a gorgeous place for a wedding!

One of the most sought-after venues in Maine, French’s Point is the place to host your event, especially to show your out-of-town guests what the Maine coast is all about! Start your wedding weekend off with a lobster bake rehearsal dinner set up on the path leading down to the gazebo, host an outdoor ceremony, and end with a beautiful tented reception overlooking the water.
